London, November 2025 - A new Motics feature has arrived - see the complete picture with Context! Clinicians can now upload supplementary documents to any consultation; from pre-completed forms, in-session typed notes to handwritten documents.

Clinicians can add images (PNG/JPG), text (txt), and documents (PDF/Word) from the Session Files tab. These sources can be used in tandem with the audio transcription to generate structured notes after the consultation, to capture the full picture of your session in one place.

What does Context mean for me?

Built to ensure that the entire story is captured, including that which isn’t discussed in the room. Motics’ AI engineer, Xuen Kok, is the architect behind the Context feature: “Context recovers what’s left out, previous notes and reports carry forward. Time can limit what gets discussed.” On busy clinic days with many back to back appointments, there isn’t always the time to cover everything in a consultation. And thus, Context adds crucial details where information may have been missed. However, the scope for the feature to help clinicians can be far greater than just filling in the gaps...

Context is key: use cases.

There are specific cases in which Context is crucial; such as if the patient is unable to provide prior background information themselves. This could prove especially useful for paediatricians and carers, where Context could be the linchpin through which the entire notetaking automation process works. For example, if a parent has provided historical data for a patient beforehand, this can now be inputted into Motics and used, in conjunction with the consultation transcript, as part of the notes when the session is over. For some clinics, Context is key to making the most of Motics and empowering clinicians to save over 2 hours every day.

Sometimes, it can be a really long day, and you can forget to ask a patient a question in the consultation and need to revisit afterwards. Or, perhaps the patient has followed up after the session with information they did not have to hand, but that should be included in your write-up. Even if you’ve already processed the notes, it’s no big deal: you can regenerate them with this extra context in mere seconds.

Pick the patient up on their journey.

Potentially, the most interesting implication for Context may just be the ease with which it allows clinicians to link sessions. Context helps adapt to your patients; present and future.

Motics now makes it easier for you to pick up new patients quickly and efficiently, even if they’ve started their journey elsewhere. With Context, you can input documents from previous consultations. In forming the final notes, this helps to draw out the most relevant information, which may otherwise have been missed. Onboarding becomes easier for both clinicians and patients.

How to use Context.

  1. Open Motics and log in. Context will be open by default on the landing page.

  2. Select Session Files to upload your relevant session context: images, forms or documents.

  3. Record your consultation. Transcription begins.

  4. Watch as your notes generate with the uploaded context.

Motics is always here to empower you. But now, through feeding it Context, you can empower Motics! Enjoy Context: saving you even more time and creating even more accurate notes.

TL;DR

Motics has a new feature, called Context. This allows you to upload text, images and documents to your sessions, ensuring that you can create richer notes when your consultation is finished. Example use cases are:

  • Paediatrics & carers:

Parents can supply history in advance; it flows into the notes.

  • Post-consult follow-ups:

Add patient info received later; regenerate notes to update the record.

  • Multi-session care:

Context helps you pick up right where you left off in a previous consultation.

It is easy to use; simply open Motics and you’ll see the option to upload Context within the session files section.

Patients, not paperwork.

Paperwork is a requirement of the job. HCPC standards require strict record upkeep, patient letters need writing, insurance claims pile up and bottleneck funding . . .

. . . but what if you could automate it all?
